Part-Time Registered Nurse in Raleigh, NC

Allcare Home Health Agency is looking for an experienced Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our Raleigh, NC homecare agency 30 hours/week. As an RN you will be responsible to perform initial assessments and reassessments, supervise in-home aides and client care, provide ongoing supervisory visits, assist with agency Quality Assurance (QA) activities including 90-day client record reviews, and be responsible for following agency policies regarding procedures that an RN may perform.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home assessments and admissions of patients and develop a care plan
  • Determine ongoing care needs for clients and communicate all findings to Clinical Supervisor
  • Supervise and educate caregivers
  • Review caregivers’ notes weekly to ensure they are following the plan of care as written
  • Verify during patients’ visits and review of documentation that caregivers are carrying out the plan of care as written
  • For patients receiving in-home care services, the RN shall supervise the CNA’s, sitters, and companion services assigned to patients
  • Conduct quarterly supervisory visits and review care plans
  • Perform caregivers competency skills checklist
  • Investigate and resolve patient/family member concerns regarding patient care
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations pertaining to home care agency and assure compliance with company policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Current RN License
  • Require reliable transportation
  • Valid NC driver’s license and insurance
  • Prior home health care experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and show proficiency in other business-essential software programs specific to the agency once trained
  • Possess high-level problem solving and critical thinking skills for use in patient care planning and problem resolution

Physical Demands:

  • Combination of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, climbing stairs, and moving intermittently during working hours
